The comedian Jerry Seinfeld and his wife, Jessica Seinfeld, just sold their 26-acre Telluride estate for $14 million.

The mountain retreat came on the market for just under $15 million in March 2021, and a deal closed last month.

The mansion was briefly offered back in 2011, with a price tag of $18.25 million, but the listing was quickly removed after just a month.

It returned to the market for the lower amount a decade later, at a price point that eventually attracted a buyer.

Seinfeld didn’t get his full asking price, but he still has the last laugh. The couple purchased the property back in 2007 for $7.55 million.

Built in 1991, the ranch was designed as an evolving series of buildings by the Aspen-based architectural firm Lipkin Warner. Since its construction, the listing noted, the home has been “elegantly re-imagined and expanded over the last decade.”

Spreading out across 12,260 square feet of living space, the rustic lodge includes 11 bedrooms, 11 full bathrooms, and three half-bathrooms. The next owner can even enjoy the original decor: Much of the home’s furnishings were set to be included with the sale.

Highlights include a vaulted great room with a stone-surround fireplace, an updated kitchen with wood counters, and multiple spots for dining.

Plenty of indoor activities are available to enjoy either before or after a ski trip. You could cozy up with a book in the library, or head to the game room, gym, or yoga room.

Outside, the property, close to Telluride Ski Resort, offers outdoor spaces and manicured grounds that lead to a well-maintained trail system and a creek. The property also offers a four-car garage.

Hamptons home

The couple’s other homes include a $32 million spread in the Hamptons they purchased from the musician Billy Joel in 2000, according to Architectural Digest.

That 12-acre estate boasts a pool and garden, as well as a three-bedroom guesthouse and a baseball diamond. The manor reportedly houses Seinfeld’s $17,000 coffee maker, as well as a 22-space garage for his antique car collection.

The stand-up comic, 67, starred in “Seinfeld,” the “show about nothing,” which he created with Larry David and which ran from 1989 to 1998. Since then, he has signed a deal with Netflix, which aired his comedy specials and his interview show, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”

Bill Fandel with Compass held the listing.
