Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 3.78% © Reuters. Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 3.78%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 3.78%, while the index gained 3.65%, and the index climbed 4.23%.

The best performers of the session on the were Zalando SE (ETR:), which rose 8.28% or 1.69 points to trade at 22.09 at the close. Meanwhile, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) added 7.68% or 28.90 points to end at 405.30 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was up 7.04% or 1.63 points to 24.72 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Vonovia SE (ETR:), which rose 0.04% or 0.01 points to trade at 22.74 at the close. Deutsche Boerse AG (ETR:) added 1.21% or 2.05 points to end at 171.50 and Bayer AG NA (ETR:) was up 1.44% or 0.69 points to 48.65.

The top performers on the MDAX were Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 9.38% to 4.99, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which was up 8.29% to settle at 40.50 and Duerr AG (ETR:) which gained 8.15% to close at 23.36.

The worst performers were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) which was down 4.46% to 154.30 in late trade, Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (ETR:) which lost 1.45% to settle at 7.35 and Varta AG (ETR:) which was down 1.23% to 32.12 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which rose 7.68% to 405.30, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was up 7.04% to settle at 24.72 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which gained 6.90% to close at 8.92.

The worst performers were Varta AG (ETR:) which was down 1.23% to 32.12 in late trade, Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:) which gained 0.42% to settle at 2.15 and Vantage Towers AG (ETR:) which was up 0.81% to 27.32 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 582 to 116 and 54 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 3.71% to 29.35.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.61% or 27.35 to $1,729.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.20% or 2.68 to hit $86.31 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 3.03% or 2.69 to trade at $91.55 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 1.44% to 1.00, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.47% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.17% at 110.35.
